ETH Cannes & Our Villa Takeover in the South of France

By Inder Singh (VP, Product, D3)
From June 30 to July 3, our team hit the ground in Cannes, France to participate in ETHCC 2025– one of Europe’s most anticipated crypto gatherings, now with a stunning Riviera twist. Builders, researchers, founders, and domain economy enthusiasts from all over came together for a packed week of talks, workshops, and ecosystem deep dives. Naturally, we brought some Doma energy to the South of France.

Doma x La Maison EVM 🌴
On July 1st, we hosted our own La Maison Villa Event in the scenic hills of Cannes, with sweeping sea views, lush gardens, and the kind of setting that naturally invites both deep thinking and relaxed conversation. Think panoramic backdrops, crisp rosé, and a guest list full of builders, founders, and domain ecosystem pioneers. 🌊
We kicked things off with a curated lineup of high-signal sessions:
- Inder Singh (VP Product, Doma) led a workshop on Building DomainFi Infrastructure
- Joseph Delong (Founder, Damascus; Contributor @ Ink; ex-CTO SushiSwap, Ethereum Core Dev) shared insights on decentralized infra design
- Joshua Johnson (Partner, Liquid Hectare) spoke on capital trends and domain-backed assets
- Mark Trang (CMO, Doma) and Alexander Lin (Co-Founder, Reforge VC) explored the investor POV on programmable internet identity
From programmable naming to trading primitives, attendees got a hands-on look at what’s next for DomainFi-paired with great conversation, delicious food, and a strong showing from LA’s builder community.
One standout moment from the evening was an exclusive sit-down interview hosted by Genzio Media, where I broke down the vision behind Doma. In conversation with Zack, I explored why DomainFi is poised to become a major unlock for the future of Web3, touching on the power of programmable domains, composable identity, and building culture-aware infrastructure for the next generation of onchain users.

After the talks wrapped up, the villa shifted into full summer mode: a garden party featuring DJ sets, ping pong, and pool-side networking that stretched long into the evening.

Hack Seasons Cannes – 👾
On July 3, we joined the Hack Seasons Conference, a highly curated gathering in the heart of Cannes designed to spark honest, in-depth conversations between builders and investors about where crypto is headed next. With a focus on real-world traction, long-term theses, and emerging onchain primitives, it was the perfect setting for us to dive deeper into the DomainFi vision.

Our CMO, Mark Trang, kicked off the day on the “What’s Actually Working in RWA Tokenization?” panel. He shared insights on where capital is flowing, what narratives are sticking, and how domain-based monetization and programmable identity are emerging as serious RWA primitives in the next cycle.

Later, our VP of Product & Technology, Inder Singh, led a technical workshop for builders, offering a hands-on look at how to plug into the DomainFi stack—from programmable naming to integrating tokenized domains into new applications and protocols.
Two Major Launches 🚀
During the event, we officially launched two major initiatives to bring DomainFi to life:
🧪 Doma Testnet
A live, onchain test environment where domain investors, traders, and power users can claim, trade, and tokenize domains in real time.
🛠️ Doma Developer Forge + $1M USDC grant program
A builder-first program offering early access to infra, tools, and support for those shaping the programmable internet identity space.
To accelerate momentum, we also unveiled the **$1M USDC Developer Fund-**designed to fuel innovation across the Doma ecosystem and support the next generation of DomainFi pioneers.
Let’s Build.
