The Domain Supercycle comes to Hyperliquid: A new Frontier vault is live

Frontier is expanding to Hyperliquid, powered by Hyperion DeFi and Upshift. The latest vault brings another major onchain ecosystem into the next generation of internet domains, just as ICANN's first new gTLD round in 14 years gets underway. The next internet landrush is taking shape.

Through Frontier, participants can deposit eligible assets into a supported vault, earn Frontier Points, and use those points to build priority for the new domain extensions they're backing.

Bringing the domain landrush to Hyperliquid

The internet doesn't expand very often. ICANN's 2026 application round is the first opportunity since 2012 for new top-level domains to enter the global Domain Name System. On October 7 ICANN published the full list: more than 1,600 applications, including .agent, .crypto, .wallet, .robot, .nft, .mcp and more. Extensions that launch will go on sale to the public through their registries. Our recap breaks down who applied for what.

Frontier gives users a way to position themselves before participating extensions become publicly available, building priority through points rather than competing in a launch-day race.

Meet the partners powering the new vault

Frontier's latest expansion brings together major players across the Hyperliquid ecosystem:

  • Hyperion DeFi: A publicly listed company focused on expanding institutional and onchain participation in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, joining Frontier as a vault launch partner.
  • Upshift: A DeFi infrastructure partner supporting the new vault experience.

Together, they're helping extend Frontier to a new community of onchain users and connect the Hyperliquid ecosystem and community with the DomainFi opportunity.

The next frontier of digital real estate

Domains have been valuable internet assets for decades. Now, with a new generation of extensions progressing through ICANN's application process, the landscape is preparing to expand again.

Frontier connects that opportunity with existing onchain communities, giving participants a way to express demand early and build priority for the names they want.

Following the launch of Frontier's first Solana vault through Loopscale, the new Hyperliquid vault is another step toward bringing the domain supercycle to more of Web3. And this is just the beginning.
